Federal Grants to Fund Trails, Walking, and Bike Infrastructure

Bike and pedestrian projects represent a growing portion of federal transportation funds. More than $830 million (roughly 25% of total funds) from US Department of Transportation grant funding went to trails, walking, and biking infrastructure. This is an exciting shift and we hope to see Salem continue to pursue federal and state dollars to support our community. More information about the funding is available here.
